Look At What's Going On In My Backyard

Less than two miles from my house... Guess where I will be today.

Fast times at Santa Maria Airport

My daughter lives in Santa Maria. Looks like it's time to visit the Grandkids.

World Event

Well, what I discovered this is a world event but by invite only, I could not get in (Johnny Danger, I need some special tactics). There are twenty-four 2012 Carrera S on display and being test driven on the recently built $600,000 track and on roads around this area (wine tasting on winding roads). It’s a two week event and people are flying-in from all over the world to see and test-drive the new Carrera. I will have to keep my camera handy for the next two weeks.

Neat. I just attended the Rennsport Reunion IV in Monterey. Looking at new and old Porsches is fun.

Excellence

Anyone catch the article"Moving Forward" in this month's issue of Excellence magazine? The article is based on the Porsche Press Release Event that took place here in Santa Maria. In the fourth paragraph the author mentions the quality of the roads this area offers, apparently it took him a few minutes to transfer some concentration to the 991 he was test driving... Welcome to my world!
