How are your tops holding up and how are you maintaining them?

I just got my 2003 Speed Yellow boxster a couple of weeks ago. Living in Florida I have the general concerns of how to protect anything automotive and black from the sun. How are most of you maintaining your tops? Prefered preservatives/treatments? How often do you treat - plus how much time in the sun does your Boxster get? I will probably get a car cover for when I drive it to work but sometimes this can be a pain. Thanks for the input.

cleaning: Raggtopp cleanser with an oxo feather tip brush. NO SOAP.
maintenance: rinse with stiff stream weekly (at least).
protect: Raggtopp Protectant 3 or 4 times a year.
window: Plexus weekly for cleaning. Renovo for scratch removal.

I cover my top whenver its parked for more than two hours with a top cover.
its a red interior so I want to keep it looking new as long as possible. the cover is already significantly faded after less than 6 months.

try autopia-carcare.com or autogeek.net

The top covers can be found on ebay. Check this seller : maginnyna7.

If he doesn't have one listed for a Boxster, contact him to see when the next one will be listed.

If you get a cover, I suggest the Porsche custom fit cover in lightweight material. Simply easier to use all around.
