Engineering flow chart makes tech forum obsolete
This simple engineering flow chart should answer 95% of the questions asked on this and other automotive forums.

Where's your reference to the Chevrolet site you got this from?
(I can say this without it being bashing, I do own one).

Is there a reference for it on the Chevy site?
This has been around for such a long long long long long time it's now considered public domain. As such, no citation necessary......

(font=sarcasm) But if it is on the web then it must be free???? (/font)
Actually I saw it on Facebook and got a chuckle so I clicked the download button and decided to share it over here. So blame Zuckerburg.

This reminds me of the classic "Did you F--k with it" flowchart. One of my favorites!

Topless, I just posted that same flowchart on Apexspeed.com in a similar thread! We had a copy hanging in our Instrument & Electrical shop, until Managment made us take it down.
