Tiptronic Transmission

I am in the process of doing my IMS replacement. I bought the 101 Projects book by Wayne to get some guidance, unfortunately the book only shows you how to do it on manual transmission.

This is my first time to work on transmission. Wayne (from Pelican) was saying that you need to have a special tools to disconnect the automatic transmission from the engine. I would like to know what special tools you need and where do you need to use it. Is there any tutorial in the internet that I can get. Thank you for any help.
