Yellow on red with a blue top?
New Jersey Special or did Porsche actually offer this?

I think that top is black.
The wheels were definitely painted.
You got to remember that Porsche does offer you the chance to get whatever combination of colors exterior and interior as long as you pay the extra money for it. I can all up Porsche and ask them to send me a brand new Purple Boxster if I wanted. I think currently a custom paint job is $3500-4000 when you order the car new from Porsche. Not sure about interior color pricing.

Looks better than any Porsche with a nephrite green interior!
Porsche option selection means you can do pretty much anything, including things that you shouldn't do!

It looks more like pastel yellow than speed yellow to me . It wouldn't surprise me if the vehicle was a repaint, and the original color was some shade of silver .

The structure behind the front bumper, under the hood, and inside the headlight recesses is yellow. Unless this was a unibody level repaint, that IS the original color. BTW, that color was a factory option in the 2.5L years. The top is definitely black.

I saw that as well. However, taking into consideration that the wheels, calipers, rollbars, ect.. have all been repainted, it appears that someone was determined to reinvent this car . Which leads me to believe that they may have gone to great lengths to fully repaint the vehicle. I just can't imagine that this thing left the factory pastel yellow with a red
interior .

There are a couple early 986's around here that are pastel yellow and came that way from the factory. Porsche is happy to let you choose screwy color combo's if you want!

That's a 996. At least the 986s had some black parts to break up all that green.

I believe that Porsche referred to this as the LC package. That is the Lucky Charms package .
