True Flow intake system

http://www.tweeks.com/shop?frame=8.81.3417

I ordered this thing two weeks ago and I just found out I won't be getting it until early Aug due to limited availability. I plan on just using the intake piping and ditching the filter because I already have a BMC but was wondering if anybody else has used this or the QuickFlow(non conical) filter setup with good success or otherwise. Because this pipe does not have the air-pocket chambers like the stock pipe I'm hoping for more sound and better flow characteristics. Input appreciated.

I dont' know if y'all have seen this one but it's a good read. Well, it's a good "look", seeing as how it's all in Japanese. I remember seeing the actual article in a magazine once and it was a reputable source.

The article tests different air filters to see how well they actually filter the air. The basic conclusion to draw is that some filters filter better than others, so buyer beware.
