Best place to buy a rack & pinion in Canada
 

My 2003 Boxster S need a rack and pinion assy. Need help finding a good replacement one beside Porsche dealer who is asking 1800 $ for it.

Try bimmer specialist online. They often have more reasonable prices.

Search online for "Boxster steering rack"; several shops are selling new ones without a core for around $800.

I recently bought a brand new TRW rack, identical to the original, for my '02S from Pelican Parts for $775. No core was required. Even paying international shipping and import duties you're going to be way ahead of buying through your local "stealer." I wouldn't waste time with a remanufactured unit; you don't know what you're getting.
