I've been poking around here since I started looking for a 986, and as I now actually own one I thought I should say "hi" properly.

Anyway, I just picked up an '03 S in Lapis Blue with grey interior. Relatively high miles at 88k, though with comprehensive service records and a clean PPI.

Haven't put on many miles yet, though the few I've driven have been quite enjoyable! I plan on doing as much of the maintenance as possible myself, and also see AX and maybe DE in the future...

Haven't had time yet for a proper clean up and photo shoot, so this one pic will have to suffice for now.

Congrat's and welcome! Great looking car! Good job on getting a PPI.

Welcome. Congrats on the purchase. To me that mileage is nothing to frown upon, that just means whoever owned it drove the car while they were paying for it. It just makes no sense to me to spend money on something that's meant to be driven and not drive it.

...I hope you plan on adding your own 88k to it.

Yep nothing wrong with a high-er mileage car if it's properly maintained.

Ditto, I have over 212,500 miles on 986 and will be taking a road trip (California to Michigan) in August. Take care of your Boxster and it will be one of the greatest joys in your life.
