Steering knock

I drive a 2002 Boxster S with 78000km. At very slow speeds, after driving the car awhile, I feel a knock coming through the steering wheel/column. It's intermitent and never at higher speeds. Any idea or advice about what the problem might be?

While there are a couple of bushings & joints in the column itself its far more likely you have a knock from the suspension telegraphing up the column. Given its intermittent , it;s going to be really hard to find. If the noise is so rare, unless it is really pronounced, I would keep driving until it is gets worse and easier to track down.

Might check your lug nuts.
