Intermittent wipers

Anyone had a problem where the intermittent setting does not work? Normal and high speed settings work fine. When I switch to intermittent, it wipes once immediately, then no follow up. I tried adjusting the delay dial, turning wipers on and off, and even turning car on and off, nothing worked.
