RoW M030
How can one tell if this suspension package is already on a Boxster? Is it possible that Canadian cars could have had this as an option?

I just finished installing the m030 ROW kit. Struts have a silver circle painted on the body; US sport is purplish.
Spring colors I found on rennlist. Seems right as I recall my rear springs are red-red. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/boxster-and-boxster-s-986-forum/375268-row-m030-question.html Front: 986.343.531.11 504 RoW030 97-02 coil spring set - red/yellow 986.343.531.12 504 USA030 97-02 coil spring set marked red/white Rear: 986.333.531.11 504 RoW030 97-02 coil sprg set 5 speed - red/red 986.333.531.12 504 RoW030 97-02 coil sprg set tiptronic - red/yellow 986.333.531.13 504 USA030 97-02 coil sprg set 5 speed - red/brown 986.333.531.14 504 USA030 97-02 coil sprg set tiptronic - red/white |
The option codes for a Boxster are listed on the label on the inside of the front trunk lid. The label will have the VIN and exterior/interior color codes at the top and below this will be a listing of the original option codes for the car. If its says "M030" or simply "030", then your car came with the sports suspension as a standard option.

US M030 and ROW M030 are not te same. ROW have a lower right hieght.

You can check the diameter of the coil springs and both sway bars. All should be bigger if the car is upgraded. I have the stock ones sitting in my garage and can easily give you those numbers. I have a shoulder repair healing so I won't be crawling under my car for a while but anything I can reach with one hand and a micrometer I can provide.
BTW, it's a wonderful difference at a reasonable price. |
Thanks guys...yes I would be interested in the roll bar diameters.....together with the colour codes on springs this will ensure I have the right parts
