Possible causes:

Faulty wiring

Faulty shutoff valve

Bad DME

It's controlled by pin 30 on plug 4 on the DME.

It is located alongside the gas filler tube, behind the wheel well liner on the passenger's side front wheel well.................

Pull the plug on the valve.

Test the valve's contacts for resistance between the posts. If none, it's "open" and needs to be replaced.

If it tests good, check for continuity between the plug and the DME.

To do this:

Pull the carpet on the front of the rear trunk wall (the one the courtesy light is in).

Remove connector 4 on the DME.

Using a straight pin or another suitable probe and check for continuity from socket 30 to the plug on the valve.

If there is no continuity, trace the wiring for faults.
