HELP! car w/trouble starting, losing power

Very infrequently and unpredictably, my 2001 boxster wont start. When I turn key, sounds like everything is fine but has trouble actually turning over. Occasionally it will turn over but quickly dies. Sounds like I need to give it some gas, but when I do, the car doesnt even sound like Im touching the gas pedal. If it sits overnight, it starts in the morning fine. I got stranded last night. This am it started, but now I notice that Occasionaly when I accelerate, it feel like its losing power and hesitates. No warning lights. Took to Porsche specialty shop last month. They kept for a week and couldn't find anything wrong and of course it never happened to them. Any ideas?

yeah, weird but no lights on. I would tend to think something with fuel system too. It's at the shop again, but they wont open till mon am.

Turns out it was the fuel pump going bad. Replaced fuel pump and relay. Drives like new.
