Side vent replacement?

Has anyone replaced the old-style air intake vents on the sides with updated ones? Somewhere around 2001 or so (?), they changed the design of the vents, but it appears that the opening is still the same size. The old vents are sunken in and not as attractive.

Does anyone know if you can upgrade from the old to the new without body work? It looks like you can, but I'd like some personal experience before I learn the hard way that I'm wrong! :)

Thanks!

Parts dept at your local dealer can tell you via a phone call.

They are a straight swap. You can find details at www.jasmine-motorsport.co.uk in England. I'm sure there are similar places Stateside.

An alternative is to spray the black parts of the side vents the same colour as your car. This makes them look better, although I agree that the new style (2003 onwards) are better.

Cheers

Paul
