Can I drive without the canvas?

I have the canvas at a shop getting a window sewn in (trying to fix it up some to possibly sell the car) and I have the top in the service position.

If I need to drive the car, can i retract the top without the canvas on it?
If it can be retracted, then could the car be driven once the frame is down?

I wasn't planning on driving it, but the engine in my bike might have taken a crap on me on the way to work. Going to try and diagnose it when I get off work.

Thanks, Jake

you can drive it as long as the top frame is completely closed down and the clam shell is down. I removed my clam shell when i did mine to make it more easier to remove and replace.

What shop is putting in your new rear window?

I drove mine around for a couple of weeks without the canvas while I was waiting for a part that I discovered I needed after I took the canvas off. Just make sure you check the weather forecast before you set out, and carry your car cover with you just in case.
