TC toggle?

So today as I was letting my car warm up, the sun hit my gauge cluster just right, and I could see some "dummy lights" that I'd never noticed before (not lit, but I could see their reflection)

I saw the one for "TC" on the farthest left, but I didn't think you could toggle TC on or off in the base models. (i have a MY00 base)

Then I thought, surely they wouldn't put the emblem there for it if I couldn't turn it off/on somehow.

So.. is there a way to toggle TC on or off on a base model? (might be a dumb question)

Thanks.

Some early base models came with TCS (traction control system). It was optional. The switch would be located on the center console by the e-brake. After MY 2000 I believe, Porsche came out with the optional PSM which rolled TC and stability control into one package.
