Just my two cents..
Hi guys, I think you ae doing a fantastic job in sorting this site out. I have finally bought a boxster, it is a 97 2.5 manual. If it beautiful to drive and being a single guy has snapped a few knicker elastics for me! Ladies like the car!
Anyway, I was a very regular user of a Fiat Coupé website where the layout is quite similar. Its at - http://forum.fiatcoupe.net Now I am a boxster owner I won't be using this site much longer and will try to use yours more - Few thoughts for grabbing the members in. 1. When I tried to find a forum for Porsche Boxsters I had to use the American Google search engine to find you. So you are missing out on a whole load of European members. (Am I the only English member?) 2. The Colour scheme is a bit plain, liven it up with some red touches-a lá 'boxster s'. It doesn't scare people off then. 3. Why don't you have another competition for who can design the best 986forum logo? Give them a car cover again. I wanted one! 4.Try and get your name mentioned on other forums. Word is the cheapest way of advertisement. 5. Please don't sell your soul to advertisement, I (and others) hate it when you log onto a forum and are bombarded with pop-ups etc. but subtle adverts for porsche specialists/tuning companies would be OK. 6. If you need any help with info/ideas I am here(well across the pond!). 7. Also there are few actual porsche owners, so consider ourselves one of the lucky few who can go onto this forum and talk about having one! 8. Can't it be called the boxster forum-or is this copyright? Here a little pic of my previous car ( with me in the picture ) http://forum.fiatcoupe.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB12&Number=80779&page=0& view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 Oh and could you change my name to Carlo, not carlo! Thanks :) |

It was called boxsterforum.com earlier, then Porsche legal got on the case. Legal issues with using Boxster in the name of the forum.

Not one for long replies are you?
Anyway moderators and creators of this website should persevere as eventually people will come over. I am good friends with the moderator of my previous forum and we all used to meet regularly with the UK being small - it was possible, so I think the sooner a friendly and informal atmosphere is breought here the more people will become members. Getting people to look at the forum is easy, malking them come back time and time again is the hard part. |
Long replies
Depends to an extent on the topic under discussion. But, I am normally short and to the point, which is my usual style.
