Chirping sound from the engine problem solved

I know there are lots of threads about this but I'm hoping to make this easy for someone with the same problem.

I started getting this chirping sound from the engine compartment about 2 weeks ago. It sounded like a high pitched "CHIRP" that would come whenever I started the car or occasionally when I jumped on the gas a bit from first gear.

After scouring the net for solutions, the two things that made sense were to tighten the spark plugs and check the idler pulleys. I replaced the belt about 6 months ago so I thought I could rule that out.

I checked the pulleys first because I really hate trying to pull coils from under the car, especially the ones that are closest to the cockpit. Checked all the pulleys and they were fine.

Next I tightened the spark plugs. Out of six, only one felt like it was a shade loose. I washed my normal man sized hands that barely fit into a German engine compartment and then started up the car. NO CHIRP SOUND!

So if you hear the chirp, try tightening the plugs first. :D
