Windows slow to open

When I open the doors on my 01 Boxster S, the windows go down to clear the top but very slowly. It happens on both sides so I'm questioning whether it is the window regulators. Any ideas please?

Thanks

Gary

Mine had the same - very common - problem. That's the first sign your regulators are failing. Search the site, lots of posts on this.

The RH in my '02 S went last fall; I just ordered the LH, ~$189 + shipping from Porsche dealer Sunset Imports in OR, http://www.****************************************************.com/ These guys pretty consistently have the best prices on factory parts.

Installation is a fairly easy DIY. Search to find links to step-by-step instructions.

Windows

I thought about that but would both doors act the same waynif it is regulators? If so, that seems strange..are they linked to each other?

Watch closely for the rubber on the outside of your window. Sometimes this rubber starts to fold into the window and slows the window down while moving down. It happens to me every couple of months and all I do is use a glass cleaner/polish and that makes everything work as it should. Not saying this is your solution but it could be a possibility like it was for me.

Mine did the same thing right before the battery and then the alternator died.

Just say'in
