Calif Law to Require Alcohol Detectors on New Cars
|
Nazi Bastards
I haven't had a drink of alcohol in 25 years. Yet, Big Brother wants me to pay for a breathalyzer on my new car. What's next? It's a slippery slope.

I'd rather that money go toward teaching new drivers how to be a better, smarter driver.
Invest on the front end, don't try to fix it after the fact. |

My second thought is that I am never renting a car in CA if this goes through - Those devices would be dirtier than a $2 hooker. |
Well, the lawmakers need something to distract them from, well, their jobs.

IMO, this does nothing. As a former heathcare provider, MANY were the times that patients confided in me they had mixed their meds and did so frequently. One lady, was so fearful of the doctor, she took 2 klonopines and a codeine, I asked who is driving you home? ME
It doesn't matter anyhow, in a world with emerging technologies for cars to judge distances between themselves it's not hard to see the end game. Soon, you won't be "driving" at all, expect maybe in special parks. Everything will be automated, then people can text without killing other people trying to get a loaf of bread. |
