White Seal
No, not the kind with flippers. 
While washing, cleaning, waxing and sealing my 2002 triple-black S this past weekend, I noticed the white seal around the windshield. It looks pretty grungy and weathered on this otherwise Batmobile-black vehicle. While the seal is still perfectly functional, the dirty white spoils the look a bit for me. Aside from replacing it (which would have to cost quite a bit), can it be cleaned, painted black, or otherwise improved?

I don't know about any white seal. The trim around my windshield is painted silver. Just hit it with some polish and follow up with wax. Should come out clean.

I have a triple black boxster as well and there is absolutely no white trim, rubber or otherwise on my car. Sounds very odd. A previous post requested a photo... can you provide one?
Is it the windshield gasket?

Nor mine... you have a one of a kind vehicle. Seriously, was there a windshield replacement done in the past? I wonder whether someone used some generic gasketing in place of the original article!

THAT is weirder than weird. It has to be some kind of replacement gasket, maybe a generic one as has been suggested.
You might try a permanent black marker on one small area, and see how it looks before doing the whole thing.
Black markers are a trick the concours guys use to hide/fix problems on black trim pieces. Works really good on screw heads, but I have never tried it on any of the rubber gaskets.

That trim is supposed to be silver. Boxster S' come with silver trim and regular Boxsters have black trim if I remember correctly. Like I said, mine is painted silver. If yours is white, then aliens must've tweaked with it.

I hope the Sharpie stays black for you. I have mixed results with it staying black (vs. purple/blue-grey in the sun (somehow I always need to touch up my sunglasses 'cause I've done something stupid to them). I've not tried it yet on my car but I'm planning to use the "Forever Black" product to recolor the black trim under the chin spoiler. They claim the product contains a re-colorant to make the trim black again.
