Just picked up my '07 987
Finally pulled the trigger. I picked up my "07 black on sand biege toy last night.
Can't wait for the weekend. I will be driving to Napa and the surrounding area with my wife. I have been waiting a looooooooooong time for this day. Anyway, I got a great deal from the Porsche dealer in Fremont. A CPO car in great shape. Driving home last night, I had my first experience with perma-grin. |
Congrats ! Let's see some pics.

Thanks, I hope to get some posted next week...

Buying a CPO car was also a smart move. I haven't lost a second's sleep over all the "issues." |
"Perma-grin"...I forgot something at the store honey, I'm going back out :)
Welcome, visit often :) |
Congratulations!! I saw your car on the Porsche CPO site. It looked really nice.
For those of us still in the hunt and search mode for a CPO 987, do you mind sharing what you were able to purchase the car for? Enjoy that trip to Napa! |
I am Confused
Wikipedia shows the Boxster as a 986 model until 2004. Then they show the Boxster as 987 from 2005 onwards.
But they also show the Cayman as a 987. Is this correct? |
The Cayman is the 987c

Congrat's! Post some pics!

The car with photos is still listed on the Fremont Porsche web site. Just search for Boxster under their CPO cars. Has a list price of $33,988. What did you get it for?
|
Thanks for welcoming me into the Forum. After reading all the "issues" I decided to buy a CPO car. Without a doubt, I feel good about spending a little more money for the piece of mind.
And, I have taken a few "extra " trips just to get that perma-grin going... Still can't belive the feeling I get driving this car. Regarding the cost, I thought I got a good deal. In the end, I paid 32K and Porsche was offering 1.9% financing for CPO cars. Anyway, the guys at Porsche of Fremont were very easy to deal with. I would buy there again in a heartbeat. |
Thanks for the information. Figured you were out and about adding to your perma-grin experiences! I'm looking forward to those!
And I agree about the CPO warranty. I've bounced back and forth between considering non-CPO vs CPO cars, and I'm 99% sure I'm going the CPO route too. |
