I'm curious to see if they fixed PDK on the new cars. Everyone who tracks/autox these cars complain about a signficant engagement lag. I was first suspicious when I saw the manual Boxster Spyder was faster from lap one than a PDK Cayman in one real world test. The journalists say its been addressed but I don't really trust what they say about new Porsches.

I don't think we're going to have much of choice are we. When the prices start falling hard, and they will like all the water-cooled Porsches, you're going to be hard-pressed to pass up a car with cutting-edge engineering simply because they put goofy doors and an SUV interior in it.
p.s.
Anyone else notice how un-Boxster like the rear end looks? The more I look it at the more I think Panamera. It's almost as if they simply made a mini-Panamera convertible when looking at it from the back. That signautre front and rear symmetry of the Boxster hips is completely gone.
