Problem w/convertible top cable

Recently purchased a 2002 Boxster with a recently replaced convertible top. I am having a problem with the right side cable when raising the roof.

The cable will not seat properly in the plastic channel when raised. It is necessary to stop the roof midway, exit the vehicle and manually feed the cable into the channel, then close the roof completely.

Are there any adjustments that can be made to remedy this problem?
