Removing front headligts help!
Trying to help a buddy remove the front headlights on his 98 boxster but he smartly lost the headlight tool. Since I no longer have a porsche I don't have the tool either. Is there something that we can buy locally at home depot to use to remove it. I don't remember it being anything special..

From one of my previous posts ....
Insert 5 mm Allen key into the opening and rotate the key 180 degress to the front of the car. Key starts with the handle facing the rear of the car. The headlight pod will move forward. Rotate the key 90 degrees to the rear. |

You don't need the "special tool"...a hex socket (I don't recall the mm size) and an extension is all you need to turn the lock in the frunk.

Maybe try this
go to a local wrecker that has boxsters offer to buy tool kit for a couple of bucks Chris |
it's a 5mm socket (not allen key). A handled nutdriver works perfectly too if you don't have a long socket extension to reach in there. Plus they are pretty cheap at parts/tool stores so pick one up and throw it in the spare tire's pouch for safe keeping. :) |
Thanks guys I knew you guys would know what to do!
