Coolant flush

When you guys flush your coolant, did you replace the seal on the drain plug? Nobody's got them in stock. Since it looks like a crush ring, I'm thinking it should be replaced, but I don't know for sure.

Yes, every time. We get ours (in bulk) out of Sunset Porsche, they always have them and they only cost a few cents each. Also be sure to put a small dab of anti seize on the threads of the plug as well; keeps the plug from locking up and stripping out (it's aluminum on aluminum).

Yes Mike, I replaced mine. I didn't want to risk an annoying leak on an inexpensive seal. Surprisingly my local OE parts guy had a difficult time identifying the needed part. Thankfully JFP provided the part number for me.

Any luck solving your oil drain plug problem?
