Rear window condensation
 

I moved out to Seattle from Colorado a couple of months ago. Since the car's been in Seattle, it's been outside. I'm getting alot condensation on the inside of my rear plastic window. Both when the car sits and when I'm using it. The drain holes are clear and the floor is dry. It's annoying and I never had this in Colorado, though the car rarely saw rain there.

Is it normal for you rainy climate guys to have is kind of consistant condensation?

I'm not too far from you, on Vancouver Island; same kind of weather. When I drove my car in the winter I used to get it all the time.

The obvious one is to make sure your AC is on, to dry the air in the car. What I also found helped big time was to remove the wind deflector during the winter. That let the dry air circulate back there a lot better. Hope it helps! :cheers:

Yes, my windows fog up constantly. They don't call this "Rain City" for no reason. When I first got the car I thought I might have a heater core leak because the windows fog up every chance they get, including the windshield and side windows. I lower the side windows slightly when I'm driving to help ventilate the interior and get rid of the excess moisture. One nice thing about the Boxster is that it has the most powerful heater of any car that I have owned. You can put the defroster on max with the temp on the highest setting and still be warm with the windows open.
I saw a blue Boxster S pass me when I was getting off I-5 at NE 50th a few days ago, was that you? I was in the midnight blue S. If it was, you need to wash your car!

RainX makes a product that will reduce interior window fogging and I can't imagine it would hurt your plastic window.

What on earth would posess anyone to move to Seattle? I've been here all my life and can't wait to get out. Wife loves it here.....gonna miss her when I retire and move to some place warm and sunny. :D

Oh, and in the kind of weather we're experiencing today, like someone mentioned above, we drive with the A/C on to dry out the air.
