Hmmmm how do you jump this thing?

I'm actually curious to know from the original poster if he means the key is locked in the car or if he only meant that the key was left in the ignition.

Just not sure how one could lock the key in the car. I know that the car locks back up after anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes if you hit the lock/unlock button and don't do anything...but that's where I'm stumped, because doesn't that disengage once you open the door, even if you don't get in and simply close it again?

There is a panel to the right of the drivers foot well (Right Hand Drive here), that when clipped off, gives access to a battery cable. Put your positive jumper lead to it, and earth the negative to some chasis point. Now some power to open the front bonet, and get access to the battery points for starting.

Lol, and I only wish mine had that positive in the fuse panel...too old for it, unfortunately.
