All of them I ever saw at the track were stupid fast for 20 laps and retarded unreliable.
Don't get me wrong, I had a 924 Turbo when they first came out. I loved to drive that car, but it spent so much time at the Houston dealer, I let them keep it.
They were quite well balanced but the opposite polar moment from a Boxster. All the weight was split at the two ends. I prefer all the weight in the middle with a low polar moment that lets you hang the car out easily and catch it easily, at the angle you want.
A 944 was probably easier to drive at 80% but much harder to drive at 99%.
