No car is bulletproof, but if you're constantly worried about the Boxster, it's probably time to move on.

Evo X weights like a pig... much bigger and heavier than any of the previous Evos.

The interior quality is still not up to par with its asking price. I was going to buy the Evo X before my box... I sat in it and thought to myself "Why am I paying money for this?"

Evo is like an amateur porn star with bodykit & huge spolier whereas the Boxster is an classy woman. Your choice.

my biggest gripe with the evo is the cheap interior. nothing like my full leather boxster.

The EVO is a great car for $38,000 - but its not a $50,000 performance car that sells for under $40K.

Instead, its really a $25,000 econo car with $15,000 of upgrades in a turbo engine, sports suspension/wheels/tires, and performance exhaust. Yes, these are factory upgrades and not aftermarket bolt-ons, but there is no changing the econo box starting point.

As long as you know what you're getting and that's what you want, got for it.

i have had no issues with the car , i actually love my boxster. just would like something brand new that i can afford . A new porsche is out of the question . love the 996 C4S , that will run about 40k for a nice 03 . with no warranty and has all the issues the boxster engine has. if you are going to buy at that price you should be able to drive with no worries . you don't get that with porsche.

Wow, some of the comments on here crack me up,Sorry guys but the Evo's 0-60 time is 4.7 Sec. and it is an AWD car, That is fast.

The car is fast and handles great it will embarrass a Boxster on and off the track. As far as it being a pig,There is a lot of cars that are heavier then my Boxster and there are ones that are lighter, like my Lotus Elise it weighs 1,850 lbs doe's that make my Boxster a pig?

Bottom line is it is a great car for the $$$ The new 2011 Mustang GT has a 0-60 time of 4.4 Sec and 1/4 mile time of 12.40 it is a lot faster then a 2011 Boxster S for $25k less then the Boxster S. Porsche can do better but thay do'nt.Shame on Porsche and the piece of $#!% M96 motor.

it's not that i don't love the porsches , i'm just starting to think i can not afford them. i bought my evo 8 brand new , that car would smoke my boxster in every aspect of performance. except for the the fun to drive category . The Boxster is by far one of the most fun cars to drive on the planet.
