Clock runs slow...

Hi,

Anybody have any ideas why my clock loses time? In about 3 weeks it is now 10 mins slow??

Thanks, Andrew.

Must be something about that theory that if you go at speed of light the time stop.. :)

sounds like a leaky flux capacitor which could be generating a small ripple in the space time continuum that extends out far enough to encompass the clock electronics, a little JB Weld should seal that right up ;)

Seriously though, possible an electrical issue, improper voltage getting to the clock electronics?

hmmmm..!

:-)

Any other suggestions....

Rolex watches keep time poorly too.

My bad, I'll keep it pertenant to the question being asked.... defective flux capacitor, causing the ripple in the time space continuum... need to check the Mr Fusion.

Dare I ask...but.... any more suggestions that might actually be the cause..... swiss watches and the borg do not count..!

Digital clocks that I am familiar with are controlled by an integrated circuit known as a "clock chip". Perhaps yours is defective. As to the location of the chip, you are on your own. I have no knowledge of the circuitry in the 986. My best guess would be in the instrument cluster, but you never know with technology today, it could be part of the main ECU. If you could find a used instrument cluster to try out, it may solve the problem. If it were me, I would just get good at resetting the time every couple of weeks, cheaper fix and less work than trying to find the problem.
The astronauts have proven that the faster you go, time slows down. Maybe you are driving too fast. :D
