I'm waiting for "Smart Glass" for the door glass so I could vary the tint. I'd stay clear with the top down and darken them with the top up.

I'm going to end up with tint on mine next year, I think. But, I don't drive it often enough for it to be parked in the sun for long. :p

I had tinted windows on my silver Boxster. Loved them. Don't see anything ghetto about them.

Of course, no windows at all now on the Black Spec car. :)

Only thought about tinting once because the windows are so small and it seems like we sit in a deep well.On the other hand, anything to protect our expensive interiors seems justifiable.

Must say, though, the cars pictured here do look good w/tinted windows.
But still ...

If you live in the South, driving with tint during the summer is about much more than looks.

When is it coming out? Also, estimate on cost?

Tis too true. I felt like a chicken being baked in a solar oven on 100 degree+ days last summer.:chicken:

Good looks and comfort don't outweigh safety.
I spent a year in the jungle, on foot, loaded w/gear and ammo. When I was 19-20.
So I've done without both.
Some of your stories are breaking my heart.
Life can be a ******************** if you drive a Porsche.

As others have said, it's not a matter of looks so much if you live in the south (Florida in my case). It's a matter of practicality. I had planned to tint the Boxster before I purchased it, but it came tinted already. I have tinted the windows on the last 6 cars I've owned. It makes a big difference in the interior temperature, and helps the A/C keep up on those really hot days.
