Creaking from lower rear corner of roof
 

Now that I've sorted out some of the more critical problems on my box, the minor niggles are beginning to get to me....

I've been getting pretty loud creaking noises from the lower rear corners of the soft top whenever I go diagonally across an uneven surface (esp the kerb to my driveway).

Initially I thought it might be the rubber seals at the end of the soft top or the body (where it means the retractable metal cover), - I'm a long suffering bmw owner (door seals !!). But that didn't help much....

Then one day while trying to diagnose the problem, I forgot to latch the soft top and no more noise.... which means that without tension to the top, there is no creaking.... any ideas anyone ??

I was pretty surprised when I did a search on "creaking" and found no threads on creaking soft top.... No one else has creaking soft top ??
