alarm problem after radio swap

I just replaced the Becker unit with a Kenwood double DIN. Now, whenever I lock the doors with the fob, I get a chirp from the horn. I assume it is because it is sensing the Becker not installed.

Is there a fix?

Also, I see quite a few pix of double DIN installs. Where can I find a nice frame to fit the cutout?

For a double din trim kit go to Ebay and search for Porsche Double Din - I bought one from Euro Motorsport that worked very well.

There is a ground contact on the Becker's frame, with the radio removed, it is not grounded, leading to the alarm chirp. Locate it and ground it, the chirp will stop.....

I may be wrong but I think there is also a little non-conductive pad on the side of the radio, so if someone try to 'SLIDE' the radio out.. the ground contact will occure and start the alarm..

I suggest simply taking a look at those trigger and create contact or isolation to make it happy :)
