how to remove HVAC controller boxster

Hello,

i just purchased a boxster 2000 a month ago and i need to remove the HVAC control unit, as the lcd screen is bleeding. i tried to find instructions how to remove it but i couldnt find instructions how to do it. could someone here help me out?

you should be able to 'unclip' the kind of little decorative frame around it, and then you'll have a few screw to get the unit out itself..

sounds fairly simple. is the frame simple to unclip? or is there a special way to remove it?

If you search, there are some very good write-ups on how to remove the unit. Once the side panels are off the center console, it is pretty obvious; if yours is on the bottom. If on the top, simply pry off the "horse shoe" with a plastic putty knife.

I've had mine apart a couple times moving all the units around.
