Ironing Board? Is that what that is? We have one too, but I don't believe its ever been used. Maybe that explains why I go to work in wrinkled shirts. (or it could be the fact that I used the misses's iron to seam some carpets many years ago and it hasn't worked the same since) ;)

i took our handheld mixer from the kitchen and used it to mix up spackle. the mixer was on its last legs and was a backup....well the wife never believed me and thought i used the good one....she had this strange look when she used it on food. the funnier part is the old ones cord would come out and it would shut off....every time i plugged it back in with out moving the switch to off i would throw the spackle or paint all over the place. then there was the time i used the dish washer to wash my harley engine cases and dried them in the oven for painting and yes the bike was in the living room......dont get me started on things that drive wives nuts...i guess thats why i,m on no. 3

Rewarding job huh!

As for engine parts, we frequently have to replace sleeves in our race motors. Heat the cases up in the oven (which cooks any oil residue and smells terrible....) and pop the new sleeves in the freezer. Bang out the old ones from the cases while they are hot, and pop the new frozen one in. Works a treat, but smells terrible in the house for a good hour after that (with all the windows and extraction fans on! hahahahaha

Looks fine, nice job. Did you use the soldering iron method to remove the amber plastic filter or another method? Also what are the blue lights and where do they come from?

Thanks. Yeah it was the soldering iron and needle nose plier method. The blue tinted fog bulbs light up white but I can't recall where I got them from. If you search "white H7" on e bay, I'm sure most of them would work just fine.

To finish the mod off, you need to replace the indicator globes with some silver finish ones or LED's so that there is no orange showing in there at all until the light flashes. I did the same, figured I'd gone to the trouble of attacking my new late model lights with a soldering iron, I may as well treat them to some no-orange lights as well!

I was looking at chrome indicator bulbs on ebay but not sure of their quality...Where did you get yours from?

Is anyone actually using LED indicators? Any problem of error codes?

Just got my silver ones off eBay - work a treat!

Thanks, I have had a few bad experiences buying chrome indicator bulbs on ebay for my Audi, they didn't last very long. Although the ebay fog lights work great.

Very cool.

I don't like amber headlights or tail lights but I do really like that little bit of amber inside of the headlights. It gives it a cool look IMO.

Yesterday I finished my amberectomy. Took me two years to find all the parts at a price I could afford. But, it's done!!!

I think what you were referring to are the opennings for the headlight washer nozzles.

I will be doing an amberectomy this weekend since my chrome/amber bulbs just showed up so I was reviewing a few posts to refresh my memory on how to do it. I had shortcuts for this post and a few others and I saw the name xenonmods as a source for bulbs. I had read a few posts saying people had bought from them without issues, but I should have searched further.

XENONMODS ripped me off!!

Please learn from my mistake. I ordered a few pairs of bulbs from them and after 12 days and the only email I ever received was from PayPal confiming that they had my money. Now it has been almost 3 weeks and not a word from them.
Their website says you will get an email with a tracking number within 24 hours and that you will be contacted immediately if there are any problems with your order,,, they did not follow through on any of those promises and they have not responded to any of my emails.
I am working to get a refund through PayPal and my credit card. Has anyone else that has been scammed by xenonmods ever got their money back?
