No joy in Whoville

Well, it's the day that I dread every year - the day the snow comes to stay. We got a big dump yesterday, and it's not going to go away 'til spring now. Did the usual fall routine today - pumped up the tires, poured stabilizer in the tank, hooked up the battery tender, kissed it goodnite.... sigh.....

With winter fast approaching here in New England, my vehicle will be suffering the same fate soon enough .

Mine was "officially" retired last weekend. Weather has been superb in northern Illinois, so I hesitated to put the Box away; but I'd only driven 120 miles in the past month (one trip), so the time has come.

Snowflakes will come soon and I will only have next spring to look forward to. I've been terribly busy, so I haven't even got around to my fall oil change yet...perhaps 2600 miles on this batch!

Mine's not hibernating this winter. Last Sunday I installed the hardtop and winter wheels/tires. Ready for (some) snow, now.

Gave her a bath , changed the oil, pumped up the tires, put in Stabil, Put mothballs everwhere ( because that's where the mice are ) , hooked up the battery maintainer, covered her up, said goodnight and wiped a tear.

I'm still holding out for another 2 weeks! But that said, I have all of the goddies ready: oil, Stabile, air,,,, and my winter list of fixes I need to do.
