Foam in AC Blower
2 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone,
My AC blower has been sounding awful for a few days. Whenever I turned the power up it sounded like a lawnmower. My mechanic wanted to replace it for $700, so I did a little more research and discovered that insulation/foam can sometimes get stuck in there. It took about 20 minutes start to finish, and I removed a piece of foam that was stuck in the blower. It now works fine, and I saved $700. :D My concern is what the piece of foam is too. It looks like it may have come off of the flap to the passenger footwell AC vent, but I am not sure. Should I be concerned that it came off? Should I try to put it back, or not bother? Thanks! |
Fairly common topic, here is a very recent discussion on the subject:
Foam coming out the air vents?: http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26575 ;) |
Thanks, I know about that, but it wasn't coming out of the vents. I am just wondering what the piece I removed is from and whether I should be concerned it is no longer where it should be.
