'01 Boxster S - Fuel Flap Solenoid & Control Button?

Help. I've got an '01 Boxster S that has had a bad fuel flap solenoid (stuck so that I can put gas in) since I bought it last year. Does anyone in the collective know of 1) sources that sell replacement solenoids, and 2) where the button in the cockpit to release the solenoid is? I've bought a Bentley repair manual for it and the only thing I can find in it is where the manual release is. TIA.

Check with Pelican Parts. My 2000 S is a pull release...it is on the passenger side inside top of the door jam, inline with the fuel door. Be careful, mine broke...another cheap part on the Porsche.

It's quite a chore to get into the fender to replace the solenoid. I had to go in years ago when I too broke the flimsy little plastic pull cord.

You'll have to remove the wheel, well liner and the carbon canister. If you're interested in more info, do a Search at RennTech. One bit of useful advice is to pay the local witch doctor to shrink your hands first.
