Hardtop leaks...anyone with similar experience?

After leaving the car in heavy drizzle for about 6 hours, I was surprised to find a leak on the passenger side soaking half the carpet.

Anyone else with this unpleasant experience? I inspected the hardtop when I first purchased it (used example) and all the seals looked fine. The 2 strips on the hardtop were also removed when I had it sprayed from seal grey to speed yellow. I don't see any cracks within the 2 grooves covered by the strips.

Finally, I did the fitting myself, lossening all the 5 screws on each side to ensure a good fit before bolting everything down.

Anyone else has similar experiences and solution to this?
