Porsche $$'s

Just paid 39K for an 03 S with carrera wheels and 4900 miles. What do you think?? Great Deal - Average Deal - Just Ok. The 04's at the dealership were going for 44K but didn't have the larger wheels and the Porsche salespeople at the local dealership know less about their cars that my girlfriend. (The service guys are great and very helpful.)

Sounds like a good deal and a sweet ride, welcome to the club bro.

It seems to me the thing about good/great/best deals on cars is you can always find a better one. Sure if you waited months and scoured the print/internet car ads you might find somthing for a little cheaper, but I don't think it'd be worth the wait/time/effort; I'd be more happy to have it now - you have and can drive the car now, and it is sweet :)

cheers,
Larez2

well let's see

Tip or manual?
Litronics (HID)?
tires?
colors?(very important, I passed on newer cars just to get my silver and red)
Sound system,wind deflectors?

if you got none of this it still sounds like you got a good deal for a glass rearwindowed near zero mileage car.
p.s.
I just paid $1900 for those wheels last week.
My 2000 S with 10k miles was $30K last November, since then I've dumped
at least $6,000(wheels,skirting,seats,lights) in upgrades and add ons.

It sounds like a pretty good deal for an 03 with such little mileage. Mine has 11,000 miles in near showroom condition I wouldn't wouldn't expect anything less than 39k.

i got my new 04 boxster non S with 18in carrera lightweights, hi fi radio, windblockers, embossed crest in the seats, oem alarm, and clear corner oem lenses around 44k

I've always felt that anything in excellent condition that I could afford to buy and maintain without leveraging my next payday was a good deal - for me. I'm glad I've been able to fit this bit of 01 garage art into these parameters.

....I'm usually 'over' looking at prices about a week after I buy something. I'm sure that's why some companies give those 30-day price gurantees.

But both glowandbeans seem to have gotten great cars from my view. Good for you.
Enjoy.

Jim
