center cap for this wheel! http://perso.wanadoo.es/valcax/pb/wheel.jpg |
I have an '01 seal grey metallic with the 18' turbo look rims and the coloured caps. I wish they were the monochromactic ones as I think they're more understated and would blend better with silver or grey colours. Besides, everyone knows it's a Porsche!

I vote for the painted crests. It gives it a finished look. Of course they are insanely priced.

I prefer the painted crests. Does anyone know I where I can get some painted crests on chrome? I have been looking on Ebay and while I see painted crests I never see them painted on chrome. Any suggestions?

I have to throw my hat in the ring for # 3

....before the wheel image loaded - I thought these were P-yarmulkes? (Jewish skull caps)

I'll have to be the dissenting opinion!
I find that like clear headlights, bright colors on the wheel cap draw your eye and I don't like that. I prefer to see the wheel overall. I also don't like the colored hood crest. On my steering wheel is the silver and black crest and I plan to add the silver hood crest with some mods to the GT3 bumper I just picked up. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...15_40_full.jpg maybe I'll add the GT3 caps since I now have the seats and GT3 I Super Cup aero (same as aero II for Boxster). http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/f0/7b/b0_1.JPG |
I have #1, the stock colored center caps for a 2001. Caution, the emblem can (and did) come off with these. They are just glued on with what looks like a squirt of hot melt (probably something better, but it still failed). It is a gold anodize over an aluminum backing for the plastic overmold, judging from the appearance of the emblem's backside.
