what will you do if you were me??

Ok guys, as some of you know I have a mint 97 boxster with 26k miles since last Aug., someone have offered me 22k without the carrera whees to get it off my hand, and I've been temping getting a white 2000 or newer boxster. With some serious research and my budget around 23k, I found alot within my price range, I might even pull the trigger on the S if the price if fairly close. but then again, my box is just in such a mint condition and I'm totaly in love with the car........ So if you were me, what will you do?

Doubt you will find an S for that price without rediculous miles. My 2000 base model was ~$25k with 42k miles. If you're happy with your car, keep it. No sense in regretting it later.

Keep it...

You may really regret it if you buy a car with problems... The cars haven't changed that much, and the only thing is you would have a few extra ponnies...

Not worth it IMO

You will not find a quality S for your price, just a hack job. Your car looks perfect, what's the problem?

tdog,

Be careful, sometimes you get what you ask for!!!!!!!! your car looks great.

mmm... there is one hope for you. It will not be easy and require some travel and locating someone with a dealer auction license. Porsche has certain places where they auction off lease returns, I believe one is in Manheim, PA. The savings would be signficant and could put you close to your budget. Otherwise save and wait. Actually save more and wait less. Boxsters hold value well.

But don't sell a 2.7 to get another 2.7 whatever you do.

His 97' is a 2.5L not the 2.7. I think that's why he wants a 2000.

my vote is to keep it...

I own a 99 box, mint, 18000 miles....absolute pristine...

It is a great feeling to own a mint condition car like that... ......

Well, guys, thanks for the replies, I've decided to sell the boxster and getting a newer version. The deal should close sometime today or early next week. I've been looking around for a newer boxster, found quite a few excellent condition 2000 around the price I'm looking for. I did found a 00 Boxster S with 58k around 25900. I just can't believe how many boxsters are out there for sale. I guess it's buyer's market right now. Bruce, got any 00 boxster in mint condition around 23K, prefer silver or white exterior, and black or light grey interior.
