Wind Deflector Clip

So, like an idiot, I broke the wind deflector passenger side clip that attaches to the plexiglass...(pressed too hard, snapped in my hand - DOH!)

I ordered a new one from Suncoast (very helpful by the way). They said you just "pop the old one off, and pop the new one on"...

Is it really that easy? Anyone ever done it? Do I just "pop" it off with a flathead, and pop the new one in? I'd hate to have to replace the whole wind deflector cause I'm dumb...and I don't want to ruin the rubber seal around the deflector...

Thanks!

Rick

Yes, they come off fairly easily. Practice with the one you broke.

I didn't realize you could buy just the clip - I broke mine and ended up using a special superglue kit (comes with a marker that prepares plastic, Loctite brand I think), after a couple other types of glues failed.

First Post....

Just purchased 2000 Boxster and I also have broken clips on wind deflector. I found this part on Suncoast - Code: 986WSCLIP. Is this the correct part number? Also, how hard is it to replace this? Do I twist off or pull straight out?

I cracked mine, but it still locks in the wind deflector fine at 80+, so i havne't changed it. Tried taking the broken one out of the roll bar, though, and I couldn't get it. What's the trick? Seems like it's attached to a metal tab that slides into the roll bar, but it would not come out for me no matter how hard i pulled and moved it around.
