987 Climate Control

Hi,

I have been having some problems with my climate control unit, I have removed the cables from the back of the unit by sliding it out and upon putting the wires back in my car made a loud beep and now the unit wont power on when the ignition is switched on.

I was wodnering if anybody had any ideas what might of happened or if I have blown a fuse or something?

Cheers
