latest mod - branded brake light

A simple mod, just a decal, but I love the look, and at $10 it's the third cheapest mod so far. I thought the back end looked just a little too plain after de-badging the trunk and this gives it some snap.

(That's not a scratch on the trunk lid, btw. It's the reflection of a jet in the sky.)

The decal is black vinyl. During the day you can see the red lens where the letter cut-outs are when not lit, just like you can see your lens now. I'll post a pic shortly.

It's an ebay item:

Here it is un-lit. Not the best photo, but you get the idea

It's kind of like the illuminate "PONTIAC" on the back of the Fiero GT.

I feel it's a bit much for my taste.

I just don't think the car needs a badge for anyone to know what it is. The Boxster is very distinct even w/o any badging.

Those who don't know, probably don't deserve to know.

But, hey, it's your car and if you like it, 'nuff said. Good luck with it!

Cheers!

I think it's a nice touch, especially on a black car. That's the thing, though...I think it'll really only look good with certain colors; black, white, dark red, maybe yellow. It looks good to me, and you can't beat the price.
