Thumbs down Plastic wiper nut caps (missing)

Hi All,

Not too happy, but when spraying my car in a self serve car wash today, I noticed both of the little plastic caps that cover the nuts secuting the windshield wipers to the car are gone. I'm not sure if they were sprayed off while washing the car (couldnt find them), or if it's a function of the near 0 temps and freezing for the last two weeks while sitting at the office.

Either way they are gone. What are my options, as it looks ugly? I have my 12K service scheduled for Sat morning at the dealership, but wanted some info ahead so I don't get raped buying a couple plastic caps. Any chance that would be covered via warranty?

Thanks!

Update:

No idea how they became disloged, but I noticed the small drain hole below the base of each wiper, and both caps somehow fell down those holes and were sitting in the plastic covered area just past the front trunk. Problem solved :-)

Hi , Thanks for your reply ,
But the cap i'm talking about is something similar to this http://www.****************************************************.com/product/986WWC.html?Category_Code=986WIPER .
It comes in a pair, 1 on the left and the other 1 on the right , when you remove it you can see a screw inside it , sorry for my poor description , i try to take a pics of it , but my car is now in the workshop so hopefully someone can help me on this base on my description .

Thanks

Maybe you're talking about the textured plug that covers the nuts that hold down the cowl. Number 9.

Not sure what cracker swamp you and your mouth breathing, chromosonally challenged kin crawled out of...but any time you feel like returning to the primordial ooze, that would be alright with me.

Damn you!...after reading this thread, you made me go to my garage just to check if all those caps were still on. good thing they all were though. Lol

Brabus, if I were you, at $1, I'd just order both sides just to be safe, as you never know when you might lose the other one, but I think the first one is left (driver's side), and second one right (pass side).

If I remember correctly Singapore is right hand drive (I haven't been there in a long time). If so, your passenger side is on the left, so you need the 690101.

$1.00? I got ripped off. I paid $1.50 at the local dealer.
I'll have to go check, but aren't right and left sides the same?
