Boxster Spyder on Top Gear
Did anyone watch the episode that was aired this past Sunday? Man that Spyder was putting all the power down on the ground with the factory LSD... makes me want one on mine too.

Yeah - that was pretty good. Beat the M3's time, too.
Clarkson is funny - but he hates Porsche |

His GT2 road test was the best review he's done on a Porsche :

I just find it funny that the Spyder outran the Cayman S by almost 2 seconds... so now Porsche will make a Cayman Clubsport version.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Laps_%28Top_Gear%29#Power_Laps I'm still on the fence with that top... Porsche really went backwards on that one. |
just wait until the Spyder gets PDK.
Now Boxsters will not only have detuned engines they'll have detuned trannies. Although we've already seen that with inexplicably tall gears on the Cayman so as not to best the Carrera sheets. p.s. Clarkson doesn't understand the whole concept of a roadster. It doesn't need a giant engine. If you have to ask you don't get it. |
I'll have to look out for that episode, though they have them all online for viewing. Hammond is the only one on the show that appreciates Porsche for what it is. I recall Clarkson choosing the M "Zed 4" over a Boxster S on a prior episode...all engine with an inferior chassis.
