Finally got my Boxster S - Exhaust?

Hey,

After owning a plethora of cars I've finally arrived at what I've always wanted - a Porsche. Initially, like many uneducated people I did not consider the Boxster at all. After owning two S2000s I really wanted a 911. All I could easily afford would be a 996 C2. I decided to drive an 03 986S and fell in love. I picked up my 2002 986S with 32k miles last Friday. Though I swore I would not mod it I'm looking at a few different exhaust options to make it sound like what a Porsche, in my mind, should.

The two I'm considering are:

Borla - Lots of information and some sound clips available for these, I'm not worried about drone as I never drive with the top up

or

FVD Brombacher listed at http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/Boxster_986-13-41/-/-/item/item_details/VID_14878580-VCD_92820622-gid_30-sort_4-display_50-item_BES98605000S/EXHAUST-Tuning-Muffler-BES98605000S-Sport-Muffler-%26quot%3BBrombacher%26quot%3B-986-S-Boxster--%28Sound-Version%29%2C-Stainless-Steel%2C-2x90mm.html . They have a clip of a similar one on a Cayman S and it sounds spectacular. Anyone have any clips or feedback of this exhaust on a 986S?

All information will be highly appreciated. Pic attached from the drive home.

Thanks,

Tawheed

If you're interested in a brand new Gemballa sports exhaust system, let me know. I have one available.

You would be hard pressed to find a better exhaust than the FVD. Their systems are manufactured in Germany by M&M, who is one of the most respected manufacturers when it comes to exhaust systems. "Behind the scenes", they design a lot of the exhaust systems for the high end "tuners" in Europe. They made me a set of custom headers and cats for my boxster that were unsurpassed in quality and performance. And FVD is an excellent company to do business with.

I have the FVD sound muffler you are considering, and I love it. I don't have a sound clip, and my car is a 2.7, but it is just what I was looking for.
I had done the 'crios mod' for a little more sound and I liked it, but it just made me want more. :D I didn't want the drone that many systems seem to have from reading other posts, and I liked the dual 3.5" SS tips versus my OEM non-S single tip. Any claimed power increase would be icing on the cake.
I worked with Rhonda, and she got me a lower price than what is listed on the link, and the service was great. She sent me a short clip, but the car also had their headers and/or bypass pipes so it was not a direct comparison. I installed it myself, and it was an easy Saturday job.
Good luck with your decision.
