Is there a body kit that transforms a 986 into the Boxster Spyder?

Has anyone thought of the idea of slapping on the trunk/hump style of the new Boxster Spyder on the old 986's? If a creation was being made, how much do you think it would be worth for the Boxster Spyder trunk/hump?

The 986 soft top will not work with the humps, unless you just eliminate the stock top and have a custom build-it-yourself top like the Spyder. It would take alot of modifying. I don't think it's worth the effort. Would it be good enough to put Spyder badges on it when it's done? I don't think so.

There is already a kit out there that puts a double bump thing behind the roll hoops. But it looks ****************. Like JTP suggests, doing it properly would take a huge amount of work. Simply not worth it.

Yep, just like the Pothole said, factory options is "Speedster Humps" that is kind of expensive and there is an aftermarket reproduction of it also that is cheaper. Both can be installed when the top is down, only takes a few minutes. They can be kept in the trunk when not in use (top up).
I guess it would be cool to ditch the top alltogether and install a fiberglass cover that would replace the trunk and metal top cover saving some weight on the process. Of course it would only work for weekend toys that never see any rain or snow. Kinda like the Ruf spyder.

These are the Speedster humps (ignore the 997 rims):

Tough sale...

I think it would be tough to develop something exactly like the new Spyder. I've got humps for my car (see my sig line) and it is a similar look. To slap on the exact Spyder trunk cover you'd have to lose your soft top and something else to cover the car temporarily would need to be fabricated. Seems like too much hassle to me and would make the car pretty damn impractical. Heck, I live in California, which you would think would be the perfect place for something like the Spyder. But with the hot sun we get I would dread leaving my leather exposed. Plus you would be forced to garage the car to keep neighborhood cats out. I love the looks of the Spyder, but would not want to replicate it and make the car so impractical. So I'll stick with my humps... good enough.
